
MEET THE TEACHERS

Jack May
- Hip Hop, Acro
Born and raised in Canberra Jack moved to Melbourne in 2010 to pursue a career in the performing arts. Since then he has travelled and taught nationally and internationally as a working choreographer. He has worked alongside some of Melbourne's elite dancers and choreographers in stage shows such as the Footy Show, Underground Melbourne, and most recently was an ensemble cast member of Las Vegas Touring show "Legends in Concert" that saw him travel to China. Jack has worked with a huge number of the High School/Primary schools in Melbourne offering workshop and solo choreographic work. He values the importance of fun in the classroom and prides himself in his ability to communicate and connect with people of all ages.

Elisha Blood
- Hip Hop, Contemporary, Acro
Elisha has been trained in ballet, jazz, hip hop, contemporary, tap and musical theatre since the age of 3 and has been sharing her knowledge teaching for the last 6 years. She trained with Robbert Sturrock industry dance, Kelly Aykers Part time course and at BDC in New York. Elisha is now performing in many shows including “A night with Tina”, Tina turner tribute show, Club Vegas, South eastern Melbourne Phoenix dancer and many corporate/freestyle events. She loves to work with all ages and levels and is excited to spread her passion and joy for dancing with the students at MOMENTUM!

Chase Foster
- Acro
Chase started dancing when he was 9 years old, he started out at a competition school called Dance Discovery, he trained in all sorts of styles such as Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Acrobatics, Contemporary, Hip-hop, and RAD, he has completed most of his ATOD and RAD exams and ranking up 5+ years in the competition scene. After his final year at Dance Discovery, he began his full-time journey at Spectrum Dance Studios completing his Cert III in dance and is now completing his Dual diploma of Musical Theatre and Professional Dance. He began assistant teaching in his final years at Dance Discovery, which lead him into teaching his own classes. Chase is looking forward to sharing his knowledge and passion with his students at Momentum and is excited to help develop and improve their acrobatical skills and technique!

Gabby Camerlengo
- Acro, Contemporary, Hip Hop
Gabby started dancing when she was 4 years old, initially starting with ballet before branching out into Jazz, Tap, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Musical Theatre, and Acrobatics. She began assistant teaching in 2010 and took her own classes the year after, before being appointed the program facilitator for tinies and tap at Galactic Dance in Melton. Since then, Gabby has taught in over 10 schools across Melbourne in all styles across all ages. Her qualifications consist of a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology), an Advance Graduate Diploma of Psychology, and a Graduate Diploma of Teaching, which awarded her VIT registration. In the dance industry, she attended The Space FIIT course in 2018, has worked in a number of sectors including drag and cabaret, and has been a member of Lion heart Dance Company for the last 5 years, performing in 2 professional seasons with them.
Gabby values innovation, individuality and fun in her classes, and uses what she learned in Psychology and Education in order to help children reach their full potential. She is looking forward to working with the wonderful students at Momentum this year!

Hayley Tidd
- Hip Hop, Commercial, Jazz
Hayley has been dancing from a young age, training in a multitude of styles such as jazz, hip hop, contemporary and commercial dance. She competed in hip-hop competitions from 2016-2021 on both national and international levels. Hayley has since graduated from full-time vocational dance training at Jason Coleman’s Ministry of Dance in 2023 - where she attained a Diploma of Professional Dance (Elite Performance) and a Cert IV in Dance Teaching and Management. She is very excited to work with the students at Momentum and share her love and passion for all things dance!

Kaia Duong
- Contemporary, Hip Hop, Acro
At age 5, Kaia began her dance journey at The Edge Performers School before being accepted into Patrick School of the Arts at age 13. She danced competitively across the country and added vocal/acting training to her repertoire, graduating a Tertiary Performing Arts course with a Certificate II, III and IV in Dance in 2021. Kaia is trained in various styles including jazz, contemporary, commercial/hiphop, ballet (RAD trained), musical theatre, tap, pom and acrobatics. She has been dance teaching for 7+ years and choreographing secondary school musicals for 3+ years. Her professional credits include a contract with Australia’s NBL ‘South East Melbourne Phoenix’, AFL’s Grand Final for Robbie Williams, Netball Australia’s Grand Final and the Australian Open. Kaia absolutely loves sharing her knowledge to her Momentum students and is dedicated to helping them discover their passion and craft as artists.

Kayla Munn
- Hip Hop, Commercial
Starting dancing from a young age kayla has always loved performing and had a passion for being on stage. With 8+ years in the competitive hiphop scene and going on to graduate with a diploma in dance from Jason Coleman’s ministry of dance in 2019. She has performed on the AFL Footy Show, White Night Melbourne, Australia’s Got Talent and have danced for artist such as Tones and I.
She loves to connect with her students and brings humour and fun into the classroom, it's a pleasure to have Kayla on board the faculty!

Amy Bennet
- Hip Hop, Jazz, Ballet, Lyrical
Amy began her journey with dance at age 12 and was previously a competitive gymnast from age 5. Amy trained closely with Sue-Ellen Shook and Phill Haddad at Dancers Edge where she competed around Australia and overseas including the Dance World Championships for Hip Hop in the USA. At the age of 18 when she moved on to train at Kelly Aykers Full Time Dance. She has since received her Cert IV in Dance and has gone on to dance for the NBL Melbourne Phoenix and performed at the Australian Open among many other dance credits. Amy is passionate about passing on her love of dance to the younger generation and seeing her students grow and improve.
