MEET THE TEACHERS
- Hip Hop, Acro
Born and raised in Canberra Jack moved to Melbourne in 2010 to pursue a career in the performing arts. Since then he has travelled and taught nationally and internationally as a working choreographer. He has worked alongside some of Melbourne's elite dancers and choreographers in stage shows such as the Footy Show, Underground Melbourne, and most recently was an ensemble cast member of Las Vegas Touring show "Legends in Concert" that saw him travel to China. Jack has worked with a huge number of the High School/Primary schools in Melbourne offering workshop and solo choreographic work. He values the importance of fun in the classroom and prides himself in his ability to communicate and connect with people of all ages.

Emma first started out training and competing in gymnastics at a state level for 8 years. She later on took up dance, training in a number of styles including ballet, hip hop, jazz, lyrical, contemporary and musical theatre. She was fortunate enough to work as a Melbourne Storm Cheerleader and Street Crew dancer for 3 years. Emma has recently returned from Japan where she was working as an aerialist performer at Tokyo Disney Sea. Emma has completed her certificate IV in Dance and Diploma of Musical Theatre at Spectrum Full Time Performing Arts School. The passion Emma has for dance and performing comes through in her teaching and allows her students to develop their skills and reach their goals.

Danté Tomsic studied at Spectrum Dance for three years completing her Cert IV in dance, and her Diploma in Musical Theatre. Danté was trained in Jazz, MT, Classical Ballet, Hiphop, Tap, Acrobatics, Partner work, Lyrical, Contemporary, Audition Technique, Strength and conditioning, & Singing and Acting. She has had the opportunity to work professional on: Yvette Lee’s Crown’s 25th Birthday and Crown’s Christmas Show, AFL Footy Show, Shared Tables Galas, Melbourne Storm Cheerleader/Street Crew Promo, Marilyn Monroe Tribute Singer, Fashion Aid, 29th Diamond Ball, multiple Flashmob’s, The Em Rusciano Comedy Show, Southern Beat Productions Galas and a variety of shows with Showtime Attractions. She is so grateful for her pervious training and very excited to start working within the industry, Danté comes with a wealth of knowledge and looks forward to meeting and sharing that information with all her students this year!

Tristan has been dancing now for 18 years, training in various styles of dance and the performing arts. He then continued his endeavours as a graduate of the Spectrum Dance Performing Arts Intensive for 3 years and obtained a Diploma in Musical Theatre. 2017 involved Tristan working a 13 month contract in Osaka, Japan working for Universal Studios Japan as a collection of roles in shows, parades and special events. This included the opportunity to choreograph with Japanese dancers, artists and B-boys in shows performed in Japan further expanding his choreographic knowledge. Having returned to Melbourne, Tristan is keen and ready to share his passion and creativity with the kids of Momentum and have some fun!

Peyton has experience in the dance industry and training from not only Jason Coleman’s Ministry of Dance in all styles of movement but was personally taught by Jack May for 6 years in hip hop at a number of studios around Melbourne. She has a Diploma in Dance and a Cert IV in dance teaching and management. Peyton has been on live television and music videos, as well back up dancing and much more. She is teaching Commercial Jazz and Hip Hop for Momentum this year and is excited to see what the students can gain from her extensive knowledge of performing arts!

Lukas originally from Queensland, is a well known performer in the Melbourne dance community. Constantly experimenting with body awareness and movement control from a young age; Lukas finds inspiration from the people that surround him. Lukas specializes in urban and contemporary choreography and is an active member of Lion Heart Dance Company, you may have seen his work showcased in Grounded: battle of the arts or RAW – Transcend. Some of Lukas’s career highlights include dancing on Braille Face’s music video Glow or touring schools for book week through – Echelon Productions. Lukas is an incredibly diverse dance and experienced teacher, he has been sharing is passion for movement with the Melbourne dance industry for over 7 years and is a huge asset to the Momentum faculty. He is very excited about coming in to work with the Momentum students.
Grace O'Toole started dance and gymnastics at the age of
5 with Dance Plus and Jets Gymnastics. She finished her gymnastics career
at 15 years old as a Level 8 gymnast to pursue an interest in dancing. Grace has 3
years of teaching experience in acro/dance. She is currently studying full time
dance at Spectrum in Burwood. Grace holds a Certificate IV
in Dance and is mid way through her Diploma of Musical Theatre. Grace
is looking forward to sharing her knowledge and passion with the Momentum students this year!
Taylah studied at Spectrum Dance Studios for three years and completed her Cert IV in Dance and her Diploma in Musical Theatre. Taylah has done many years of training and performing in styles including Ballet, Jazz, Musical Theatre, Acrobatics, Lyrical, Contemporary, Tap, Hip Hop, Commercial, Strength and Conditioning.
Taylah has had the opportunity to work professionally at multiple events such as Yvette Lee’s Crown’s NYE Countdown Concert, Crown’s Christmas Galas and Crown’s 25th Birthday, she’s also been part of 29th Diamond Ball, Southern Beat Productions Galas, Shared Tables Galas and many Showtime Attractions shows and events.
Taylah is looking forward to continue growing as a performer and teacher and is excited to see what the students at Momentum can achieve this year.

Amy began her journey with dance at age 12 and was previously a competitive gymnast from age 5. Amy trained closely with Sue-Ellen Shook and Phill Haddad at Dancers Edge where she competed around Australia and overseas including the Dance World Championships for Hip Hop in the USA. At the age of 18 when she moved on to train at Kelly Aykers Full Time Dance. She has since received her Cert IV in Dance and has gone on to dance for the NBL Melbourne Phoenix and performed at the Australian Open among many other dance credits. Amy is passionate about passing on her love of dance to the younger generation and seeing her students grow and improve.
